THE BUZZ NOT IN SERVICE SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2016

Saturday is the 23rd annual Palm Springs Festival of Light Parade! So exciting! Because of this, the BUZZ is NOT IN SERVICE all day Saturday, December 3. The truth of the matter is we don't want our glamorous trolleys stealing attention away from the parade—it would be selfish. So instead they'll be having a quiet spa day away from the limelight. BUZZ service will be back up again Sunday. Enjoy! :)

PRIDE 2016—WEEKEND SERVICE

Friday, November 4 to Sunday, November 6 is Pride Weekend! Yay! Please note we have special route and hours:

  • We're taking a special detour route through Downtown the entire weekend—bypassing Palm Canyon from Alejo to Baristo. And we're also cutting out the Encilia loop (and the Hilton stop). This special route is in pink on this map.
  • Our hours will be the regular ones, except we're starting late on Sunday—at 2 pm, after the Parade.

Have fun—and behave yourselves!

Route Detour for Festival of Lights Parade 2015

Saturday is the awesome Festival of Lights Parade—a Palm Springs institution!  The parade starts promptly at 5:45 pm. The easiest way to get Downtown for the Parade? Catch the BUZZ, of course! And here's the special detour route that we'll be running 3-9 pm that day. Red = northbound, green = southbound, yellow stars = stops! Make sure to get there early to grab a good spot!

Route Detour for Desert Pride 2015

Get ready for lots o' lovin' from the BUZZ on Pride Weekend! :) Woo hoo! Please note the schedule/route changes:

* FRIDAY: Normal service.

* SATURDAY: Normal hours, but because of the festival, we'll be on the special Thursday VillageFest route all day.

* SUNDAY: The BUZZ starts early on Pride morning—at 9 am! Because of the parade, north of Ramon we’ll be on a special route with temporary stops! Note that this part of the route will be mostly on Indian Canyon and Encilia-- not Palm Canyon. (Check out the map!) South of Ramon, we’ll be on the normal route! When the parade ends (probably around 2 pm), we'll be on the VillageFest route for the rest of the day!

Have fun! :)

The BUZZ Serves 100,000th Rider

The BUZZ Serves 100,000th Rider

Can you believe that? In less than five months, we’ve served 100,000 riders. Wow.

And did you know that the BUZZ serves up to 5,000 riders just on a typical weekend? Pretty cool.

When we launched the BUZZ last December, little did we know how quickly the community would grow to love its new free trolley service. And what’s not to like? A clean, colorful, cozy ride around town during the coolest part of the week is hard not to like. We’re awfully excited about it, and we hope you are, too!

Check out this great article in the Desert Sun—a good overview of where we are with this project: http://goo.gl/lzQoWD
